QR Code Generator

Overview

Generate a scannable QR Code that connects Contacts with specific information. From the Tools main menu, click QR Code Generator.

Main Menu: 

Note: Generated codes are not saved within Launch and therefore must be saved before navigating away from a generation screen. Once saved as a graphic file, QR Codes can be added to MMS messages throughout Kerauno Launch or added to promotional materials such as hand outs or fliers at events. 

The tabs at the top of the main menu provide a variety of QR code generation options: 

URL

When a URL QR Code is scanned, the person is directed to a specified website.  To create a new URL QR code from the URL tab, enter Your URL, specify the QR code Size from the drop-down menu, and click Generate QR Code

Right click on the QR code image and choose Save As to save the code. 


Text Message

When a Text Message QR Code is scanned, a new text message prompts on their mobile device prepopulated with text to send to your short code number. This option is ideal for effortless Keyword signups and collecting new Contacts.    

To create a new Text Message QR code from the Text Message tab, populate the short code Number, Message, specify the QR code Size from the drop-down menu, and click Generate QR Code

Right click on the QR code image and choose Save As to save the code.

Phone Number

When a Phone Number QR Code> is scanned, a phone icon prompts on their mobile device to call the designated phone number. This option is helpful for Contacts to save your contact number.     

To create a new Phone Number QR code from the Phone Number tab, populate the desired Phone Number, specify the QR code Size from the drop-down menu, and click Generate QR Code.

Right click on the QR code image and choose Save As to save the code.

Recipients can tap on the notification to call the number it right away or save the number in their mobile device. 

VCard

When a VCard QR Code is scanned, a phone icon prompts on their mobile device to save the VCard content. This option is helpful for Contacts to save a variety of contact information including address, URL, Contact Name, and Phone Numbers.     

To create a new VCard QR code from the VCard tab, populate the desired VCard content, specify the QR code Size from the drop-down menu, and click Generate QR Code.

Right click on the QR code image and choose Save As to save the code.

Example result when a VCard QR Code is scanned from a mobile device:

Users can tap on the notification and save the VCard content to their mobile phone contacts right away. 

Note: Not all VCard fields can be read by every smart phone.  

Plain Text

When a Plain Text QR Code is scanned, a web browser icon prompts on their mobile device to search for the specified content. This option is useful for Scavenger Hunts or similar campaigns. 

To create a new Plain Text QR code from the Plain Text tab, populate the desired Text, specify the QR code Size from the drop-down menu, and click Generate QR Code.

Right click on the QR code image and choose Save As to save the code.
